Chaz Bundick can’t get enough. After releasing two projects in 2017, Boo Boo (under his Toro y Moi moniker) and Star Stuff (a collaborative effort with psychedelic jazz/groove duo The Mattson 2), the many-faced musician is back with new work for the world.

No, it’s not Les Sins. Earlier this year, Bundick announced an upcoming Toro y Moi album, Outer Peace, by releasing the album’s first single, Freelance. The track revealed plenty of continuity from Boo Boo, featuring Toro’s typical combination of synth-heavy soundscapes paired with airy, droning vocals over Eurodance/house-influenced percussion. Now Bundick is back with the album’s second single, Ordinary Pleasure.

The track finds Toro feeling funkier than his last release. Following a reverb-filled conga intro, the bass and keys begin a groovy conversation that lays a juxtaposed foundation for Bundick’s jaded, whining vocals.

Check out the new tune, available on Spotify, Amazon, and iTunes, and make sure to look for Outer Peace, out January 18th on Carpark Records.
